CopenHill også kaldet Amager Bakke repræsenterer et bjerg af muligheder. Det er ikke kun for dem, der gerne vil stå på ski eller snowboard ned af den kunstige skibakke. Der er både kælkebakke og klatrevæg – og så er det ganske gratis at benytte stisystemer, trapper og elevator i åbningstiderne. Dermed kan du efter en rask gåtur og uendeligt mange trapper nyde udsigten udover København i 85 meters højde. På toppen af bakken finder du desuden en café, som serverer take-away drikkevarer og snacks.

Hvor stejl er CopenHill?

The plant opened on 30 March 2017.[2] It is estimated to cost $670 million,[8] and is expected to burn 400,000 tons of municipal solid waste annually. It also houses a sports facility designed by Bjarke Ingels Group with an 85 m (279 ft) tall sloped roof that doubles as year-round artificial ski slope, hiking slope and climbing wall, which opened to the public 4–6 October 2019.[2][9][10][11] The climbing wall, manufactured by Walltopia, is the world's tallest climbing wall at 85 meters.[12]

Technically, the plant is designed to change between operating modes, producing 0-63 MW electricity and 157-247 MW district heating, depending on the local heat demand and power price. It produces more clean water than it uses. Because of filtration and other technologies, sulphur emission is expected to be reduced by 99.5% and NOx by about 95% as well as dioxins and HCl[13][14] and it is claimed to be the cleanest incineration plant in the world.[4]

An experiment intended the chimney to not emit its exhaust continuously, but instead in the form of "smoke" rings (consisting of water vapour rather than actual smoke).[3]

Naturfredningsforeningen var den mest aktive høringspart, som argumenterede imod så stor en affaldsforbrænding på Amager. Konsulent Signe Beuse Fauerbye finder det ‘virkelig dumt’ at bygge nyt, når der i forvejen er overkapacitet på affaldsforbrændingerne.

»Man bruger 4 mia. kr. af borgernes penge på et anlæg, der ikke er brug for,« konstaterer hun.

Et notat fra Amager Ressource Center viser, at økonomien i værket kan reddes med import af affald fra udlandet. Det gør en række andre affaldsforbrændinger, men den politiske aftale om værket blokerer for det, fordi afbrændingen kan ødelægge kommunens klimaregnskab og grønne image. Ledelsen forsøger også at redde økonomien ved at invitere andre sjællandske affaldsselskaber til fusion, men de fleste iagttagere forventer, at det ender med, at der sejles mindst 100.000 ton affald til Amager om året. Et andet notat viser, at affaldet kan skaffes fra Storbritannien.

CopenHill også kaldt Amagerbakke, er et forbrændingsanlæg hvor der er lavet en skibakke på børster, der er 3 små pister, løbestier, klatrevæg og café. Det åbnede tilbage i 2017, og blev tegnet af den kendte danske arkitekt Bjarke Ingels. Bygningsprojektet kom til at koste 670 mil. $.

Skibakken er 450 meter lang og har en hældning på 45% fra toppen, hvor jo længere ned på bakken man kommer, jo mildere bliver % hældningen. Der er et par rails og boxes som man kan øve tricks på.

Det betyr at det er store forskjeller i driftskostnader og i inntektsbildet i det enkelte alpinanlegget, og det gjenspeiles også naturligvis i heiskortprisene, forklarer Camilla Sylling Clausen, daglig leder i Alpinanleggenes Landsforening.
