Tidligere på ugen offentliggjorde Distortion musikprogrammet for de såkaldte Distortion X-områder, som er de store scener, hvor blandt andre navne som Tessa og Kidd optræder.

Hvornår er Distortion Vesterbro?

One of the city's most exciting dance music parties arrives in Copenhagen for Distortion Festival 2023 this May. The festival brings music and dancing to the streets for bloc parties, raves, and more! With plenty of free events to enjoy and hopefully some sunny weather, this is an unmissable party for anyone who loves dance music. Think of it as streets filled with revellers, a little bit of organised chaos (one of Distortion's themes) and some booty shaking music from Danish and international artists. With live music and DJs playing in the day, you can also enjoy the weekend parties at Distortion Ø late through the night (tickets needed!)

The festival includes various programmes including the street parties, Distortion Ø weekend night raves, and Distortion X. There is even a dog party at HundeDistortion2, part of ActionHygge! Hvor afholdes Distortion 2023?

Teknik- og Miljøudvalget har nu godkendt, at Distortion 2023 bliver afholdt på Islands Brygge ved Langebro, Vesterbro, Refshaleøen og på Rådhuspladsen.

I det store hele kommer gadefesten til foregå på samme arealer som i 2022 - med tre justeringer:

Det lille Paris aka. Vesterbro har i de senere år gennemgået en udvikling, der har forvandlet bydelens blakkede ry fra lurvet arbejderkvarter til at være et fancy og frimodigt meltingpot spækket med gode caféer, shoppingmuligheder, specialbutikker, bohemetyper, hipsters, børn og grønne områder.

Her vil du hurtigt finde ud, at det ikke er usædvanligt at finde sexshops, eksperimenterende gallerier og eksklusive restauranter side om side.

Der skal være mere af »den gamle gadehygge«.

Er Distortion 2023 gratis?

Age restriction: 18+. Artists subject to change. Distortion will take place rain or shine. Ticket fees apply.

Important info for Festival Pass holders about Distortion Club. 1) Age restriction is 21+ for most Distortion Club events. 2) Due to limited capacity access is on a first-come-first-served basis. 3) You will need to follow each club’s own entrance rules and house rules.

Your ticket is only valid until exchanged for a wristband upon arrival at the festival site. After you have received your wristband, this will count as your valid ticket for the duration. The responsibility of the wristband belongs to the holder – lost, broken or removed wristbands will be deemed invalid and will not be replaced.

Hvem spiller på Distortion 2023?

Distortion Ø is the spectacular forest rave and weekend finale of Copenhagen’s Distortion. You will be dancing until sunrise with 36 artists across 4 stages. The festival site is located on a secluded green spot in central Copenhagen.

Til næste år fejrer Distortion sit 25-års jubilæum, og indtager endnu en gang hovedstadens gader.

Hvor starter Vesterbro?

Our famous free street party on Vesterbro is back. There are music parties and things to do for kids and people that love intimate, concerts and dinners.

On Vesterbro you will also find the free ActionHygge and Distortion X event.

If you’re into reggae, dancehall, afrobeats, pop, and rap, then the event hosted by the independent record label NEA Entertainment is something for you! There will be artists playing all night in all different kinds of genres, so there is something for everyone. The only thing you need to bring is good vibes, mood, and dance moves. FB event

Slipdress repeats the success from last year and turns their street party into a huge floor in the middle of Godsbanegade. The day starts softly with bingo and live music and then proceeds into a big rave at the end of the night. Come early and warm up for the big party where various DJs will serve you sweet and energetic tunes, including the two it-boys and DJs from the popular restaurant Fabro. FB event

On Dybbølsgade in the middle of Vesterbro, the women behind KarmaGlitterCph are ready to spice up your festival look. KarmaGlitterCph was made with the desire to create a universe of biodegradable glitter with original accessories. Swing by the glitter salon and make your look extra magical. FB event

21G draws inspiration from half a century of discotheque and soulful house culture, and they wish to connect that history with the future of dance music and club culture. They strive to bring you a wide range of music not bound by any genre, but strictly limited to vibrations that stimulate the mind, body, and soul. Join them at Dybbølsgade, where six different resident DJs will bring you an energetic and uplifting dance party. FB event

Right in the middle of Enghave Plads you will find Kaffeplantagen, and they are ready to create a nice afternoon with warm tunes and cold drinks. The infamous DJs Karsten Loud, Masthi and Jakob Bech will be there to charm up your evening with their house and electronic tracks and good vibes. FB event

Hvordan er det at bo på Vesterbro?

Indre By er som navnet antyder det absolutte midtpunkt i København og det er her du finder de fleste af de kendte seværdigheder. 

Indre By er samtidig det gamle København, så det er her man i sandhed kan komme under på huden på byens flere hundrede års rige historie. 

I Indre By finder du bl.a. de populære seværdigheder som Tivoli, Christiansborg, Amalienborg, Rådhuspladsen, Strøget og naturligvis Nyhavn. 

Det næste område vi skal forbi er beliggende sydvest for Indre By og starter faktisk allerede ved Rådhuspladsen. Hvis du ankommer til København med tog eller tager regionaltoget fra Københavns Lufthavn, så ankommer du faktisk til Vesterbro, da Hovedbanegården er beliggende på Vesterbro.

Når gadefesterne i år vender tilbage til Distortion efter tre års fravær, bliver det ikke helt som det plejer. Som bekendt vælger festivalen helt at springe Nørrebro over, men nu er det også blevet annonceret, at årets andre gadefester bliver noget anderledes end før.

Der er ingen gadefester på Nørrebro i år, så dagsprogrammet på festivalens første dag er ret ligetil. Det består kun af to af de ovennævnte Distortion X-events, der altså kræver billet.
