Hvornår starter modeugen?

Vi starter med New York Fashion Week, hvor vi ser, hvad de, der designer for modehuse som Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren og Coach mener, at din garderobe skal indeholde. Derfra flyver vi videre til London Fashion Week og besøger den modeuge, der huser både ikoniske og nytænkende modehuse som Burberry, Paul Smith og Christopher Kane og slutter af i de varmere breddegrader med Milano Fashion Week og Paris Fashion Week. Her er det både Chanel, Balenciaga og Louis Vuitton og Prada, Miu Miu og Bottega Veneta, der sætter agendaen for hvad, der bliver moderne, hvis det altså er hos denne modeuge og dens designere, at din tillid ligger.

When you submit an application to be on considered for the Copenhagen Fashion Week Official Show Schedule using our online application form, we collect personal data about you and the brand that you represent. This collection of personal data is necessary in order for us to pursue our legitimate interest in operating as Copenhagen Fashion Week. The application form data will be collected by Copenhagen Fashion Week and shared with necessary third parties, counting the Official Copenhagen Fashion Week Show Committee and relevant partners of CPHFW.

CPHFW reserves the rights to use any audio/visual content, including imagery and video, captured by our photographers, videographers and livestreaming partners. Furthermore, Copenhagen Fashion Week will share all runway, backstage and street style imagery across the official image bank that third parties have the rights to use for editorial and social media purposes. This excludes the right for third parties to use the above mentioned assets for commercial purposes.

Hvad er Slow Fashion?

Slow fashion is a way to "identify sustainable fashion solutions, based on the repositioning of strategies of design, production, consumption, use, and reuse, which are emerging alongside the global fashion system, and are posing a potential challenge to it."[2] In other words, slow fashion is about making conscious and sustainable choices when it comes to fashion, and challenging the fast fashion system that is often associated with negative impacts on people and the planet. It promotes the purchase of higher-quality clothes that will last longer, as well as equitable treatment of people, animals, and the environment.

It is an alternative to fast fashion because it promotes a more ethical and sustainable way of living and consuming.[3] "It encompasses the whole range of 'sustainable,' 'eco,' 'green,' and 'ethical' fashion movement".[4] This movement is another business model focusing on slowing down consumerism and respecting the environment and ethics.[5]

Slow fashion has its own marketing strategies as it targets a certain type of consumers. Unlike fast fashion consumers, slow fashion consumers expect classic and timeless pieces of clothes, giving importance to versatility, low maintenance and a higher quality.[5]

Marketing strategies concerning slow fashion often revolve around a more conscious consumption, focusing the advertising on environmentally and socially sustainable aspects on the clothes. Companies use several strategies in order to be less wasteful than other fast fashion brands[24]

• changing their clothing lines less often
• producing and stocking less items
• paying attention to the material that they use
• ensuring ethical and non-exploitive methods of production

Hvor lang tid varer Copenhagen Fashion Week?

The first Copenhagen Fashion Week was held in 2006, the result of a merger of previous Danish clothing trade fairs, Dansk Modeuge and Dansk Herremodeuge, which date back to the 1950s.[2] Copenhagen Fashion Week is owned by the Danish Fashion Institute.[3]

In 2017, Copenhagen Fashion Week went through a strategic process with the participation of key stakeholders in the fashion industry. The aim of the strategy was to strengthen Copenhagen as the epicentre of Scandinavian fashion and to establish Copenhagen Fashion Week as the leading fashion week in Scandinavia. In 2019, Copenhagen Fashion Week became the only fashion week in Scandinavia and will keep striving towards maintaining and develop Copenhagen Fashion Week — to continue being the strongest platform possible for Scandinavian fashion brands to thrive.  In 2018, Copenhagen Fashion Week got a new management which brought about a highly intensified focus on sustainability. Newly appointed CEO Cecilie Thorsmark (2018) established a sustainability advisory board of industry professionals and welcomed onboard knowledge partner In Futurum to help shape the sustainable development of Copenhagen Fashion Week. Hosting an international fashion week, the city of Copenhagen is a big part of what makes Copenhagen Fashion Week the desired destination it is. We love our city and we want to enable our guests to experience everything Copenhagen has to offer, whether they are locals or visitors. Through events, unique show venues, easy logistics for participating industry professionals, a personal approach for ultimate comfort and an insider’s guide to the city, we want to showcase the city in a way that will make both Copenhagen Fashion Week and the city of Copenhagen an intimate and memorable experience.
